Zurich Researcher’s Night: Alstom Inspection Robotics introduces their mobile inspection robot |
At this year’s Researcher’s Night on 25 September, Alstom Inspection Robotics are proud to introduce their mobile inspection robot prototype with its maneuverable stereo camera. Visitors are welcome to guide the robot via three-dimensional images in order to explore and examine the dimension and topology of a pipe’s inner life that is difficult to access. Avalon will set sail in 2010 |
After the team from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) had finalized all assembly works, Avalon was almost ready to set sail to cross the Atlantic Ocean. Unfortunately, however, various technical problems surfaced in the final testing. As these problems may not be solved in the remaining time before the starting signal for the transatlantic regatta sounds, the Avalon team has decided to postpone their adventurous voyage to next year. more..
