Alstom Inspection Robotics is a joint venture between ALSTOM (Switzerland) Ltd and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich. Established in 2006, the start-up company develops autonomous inspection robots for power plants, and chemical and petrochemical facilities.

Alstom Inspection Robotics develops a novel compact scanner for boiler inspection
Alstom Inspection Robotics has developed a novel highly compact scanner for the volumetric inspection of small diameter tube butt welds. This low profile scanner incorporates a phased array ultrasonic probe and requires only 12 mm of clearance between tubes.
